The former managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, was granted bail yesterday after a grand jury indicted him on charges that he sexually assaulted a hotel housekeeper in New York City. French writer and feminist Natacha Henry tells us why so many French men and women have come to his defense.
