Chicago’s South Shore community is using small business Saturday to highlight redevelopment efforts on one of its busy commercial corridors. East 71st Street has a mix of businesses, but also a lot of empty storefronts. This weekend, six of those unused buildings are hosting pop shops with local vendors, music, and film screenings.
