A forecast calling for drier weather is a relief for flood weary residents of Chicago’s northern suburbs. Most waters are receding to below flood levels in state-declared disaster areas of Cook, Lake, Kane, and McHenry Counties.That means  the ‘all clear for sandbag removal’ is imminent. Now the focus is on cleanup which is getting help from state grants. The affected counties are awaiting approval for federal assistance. ]
