A coalition of housing activists rolled out sleeping bags at the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago today to protest the rent control ban in Illinois. 

Representatives from the coalition also brought a letter to Governor Bruce Rauner’s office laying out concerns about the rent control ban and asking for his support in ending the ban. 

Activists say if they don’t hear back within a week, they will plan more protests.
