The Chicago Housing Authority has a rental assistance program that creates affordable housing units in new construction or rehabbed properties in the private market. On Tuesday the CHA board approved 353 new apartments in a number of neighborhoods, including Old Town, Edgewater, Garfield Ridge, and Roseland.
