Chicago health officials say quality of health care could be at risk if the GOP health plan becomes law. 

Chicago Health Commissioner Julie Morita says more than 300,000 city resident currently have health insurance because of the Affordable Care Act and that tens of thousands of city residents risk losing that care. 

The White House says the president is prioritizing people with pre-existing conditions and aims to lower healthcare costs.
