City Aims To Help Homeless Families Doubled Up With Others

A new report finds that more than 80,000 people were homeless in Chicago in 2015, a number far greater than what the city counted.

The city tallied less than 7,000 homeless people because the methodology put forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development skips people who are living with other families in one house.

The city is working to provide services to homeless people in these situations.
