The city of Chicago is being ordered to pay out $350 thousand to the family of a teenager killed by Chicago police. Christian Green was shot in the back in 2013. He had a gun, and the officer who shot Green said the 17-year-old pointed the gun at him during a chase, forcing him to fire.

Green’s family maintains that isn’t true.

On Tuesday, a Cook County jury ruled the shooting unjustified. Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson testified during the civil trial. A city law department spokesman said they’re disappointed with the verdict and weighing their legal options.
