Midterm elections aren’t until November of next year, but county democrats say people are already eager to get involved in politics. Chicago-area democrats have started “Cook County Together,” a volunteer coalition. Jacob Kaplan is the executive director of Cook County Democrats. He says the plan is for volunteers to meet once a month to knock on doors. Not to promote specific candidates YET, just to figure out what’s important to voters. Party primaries are March 20, 2018.
