Despite Often Criticizing Illinois’ Business Climate, Rauner To Embark On 8-Day Recruiting Tour Of China, Japan
Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner frequently talks about how unfriendly the state is to companies. But he’s about to embark on a week-long international trip to try and convince companies to do more business in Illinois. Rauner has criticized the state’s regulations on businesses, how much companies pay in taxes, and union work rules. None of those changes Rauner wanted have become law. But the governor has done some recruiting domestically and now he’s going to Japan and China, saying the state can’t wait any longer for jobs.
