DNAInfo Could Close Up Shop, Executive Warns

An executive from DNA Info says a union drive could cause the local news site to close up shop. An email from the company’s chief operating officer tells reporters and editors in Chicago that the site has lost money every month of its existence. The note speculates that a union could be “the final straw” for the company’s lone investor, Joe Ricketts. Reporters and editors at DNA Info’s New York operation announced Wednesday morning that they had voted to unionize.
