Former DNAinfo Staffers Reflect On Hyperlocal News

Editors and reporters from the now-shuttered DNAinfo are reflecting on their time producing hyperlocal neighborhood news in Chicago. Former senior editor Stephanie Lulay says Chicago media now has a void to fill. Josh McGhee, one of Lulay’s reporters who covered the Uptown neighborhood, said, "It feels like kind of ripping a very important amenity from the city."

The company’s CEO, Joe Ricketts, announced the shut down on Thursday.
