After more than 70 years in Chicago, Ebony Magazine is moving its editorial operations to Los Angeles. It’s the latest change in a decade of turmoil for the black lifestyle magazines. For more, we turn to Charles Whitaker, associate dean of journalism at Northwestern University. Before joining the Medill faculty he was a senior editor at Ebony Magazine.
