If The Illinois Budget Impasse Continues, Road Projects Will Be Shut Down

If the Illinois budget impasse continues, road projects will be shut down, and that will likely cause major economic damage across the state. Contractors say if there’s no budget by June 30th, the economic ripple effect will begin immediately and thousands will be without work. The Illinois Department of Transportation notified contractors last week to start shutting down infrastructure projects without a budget, there will be no money to pay them.
