Illinois Comptroller, U.S. Reps Call On Gov. Rauner To Fight AHCA
Democratic Politicians called for Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner to toughen his stance against the health care bill passed by the U.S. House. A new report from the Congressional Budget Office shows millions of people would lose health insurance under the bill. Illinois would lose billions in federal Medicaid funding.
Gov. Rauner has expressed “deep concern” about the bill, but U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky called on him to lobby Republicans directly. Rauner’s office had no comment.
