Tonight, two musicians, a critic and an activist from Chicago discuss the way harassment and intimidation can stifle diversity in the music industry. Panelist Jess LeMaster is a DJ and musician. She says it should no longer be surprising to see women on stage or handling technical duties. LeMaster says more than just sharing negative experiences, it’s important to offer advice for young people who want to work in music. The discussion is at Harold Washington Library Center.
