Family and friends are mourning the death of a local school teacher who was shot and killed Friday night by stray bullets from a drive-by shooting in Roger’s Park.

A funeral service was held Tuesday for Cynthia Trevillion,who was killed the same night a 15-year-old boy was fatally shot in an alley about a mile west of the L stop. The deaths are leading Rogers Park residents to ask some tough questions about the city’s seemingly unrelenting gun violence.
