Illinois released its statewide report card Tuesday. Some Chicago high schools topped the state, but there’s a large gap in performance in the city. Only 33 Chicago schools did better that the Chicago Public School average score. Five Chicago schools more than doubled the state average, opening a wide gap between them and the rest of the city’s high schools.
