Organizers of a youth basketball tournament at the United Center they’re saddened that a short fight at one event this week is getting city-wide attention. 

Police cleared the United Center on Monday night after a fight started outside during the West Haven Safe Summer Basketball tournament. Safe Summer is a program designed to keep kids off the streets during the summer months. 

Organizer Oji Eggleston says this was the first time they had any issues. Eggleston says they run basketball games four days a week all summer and they’ve been doing it for years. He wishes cameras would show up to see that instead.
