  • Many of the children separated in recent months from their families have been put under the care of foster agencies. Kathryn Joyce, a freelance journalist and the author of The Child Catchers, Rescue, Trafficking and the New Gospel of Adoption has been reporting on the links between the international adoption community and migrant kids.
  • At a dinner to kick off the 2018 NATO Summit in Brussels, President Trump berated European leaders for making the concession. Russia was one of the main topics on the table at the 2018 NATO Summit.
  • In 1989 the Communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu was removed from power in Romania. As the country opened up to the outside world, news began to emerge of children living in terrible conditions in the country’s orphanages.
