On today’s show: The Gary-Chicago International Airport is a hub for the deportation of many Mexican immigrants. A group of community leaders are protesting the practice. We speak with Ruth Needleman, a professor emerita of Labor Studies at Indiana University and a long-time Gary resident. We’re also joined by JoAnn Persch, a Sister of Mercy nun and co-founder of The Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants. They help us chronicle the actions at Gary Airport. Then, an analysis of the evolution of U.S. policy towards China as President Trump meets with his Chinese counterpart. We speak with Daniel Drezner, a professor of international politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
