Through January 27, 2019, puppets will dominate Chicago’s theater scene. At nearly 20 venues, the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival unleashes 80 performances with puppeteers from 11 countries. A full range of puppet theater is on display: from satirical to tabletop; true stories to complete fantasies. Festival Founder Blair Thomas joins us. He’s brought great puppetry to Chicago for more than 30 years. With him is Israeli puppeteer and cabaret artist Yael Rasooly.
