A personal account of chaos and conflict in Yemen

The UN has called for an extension of a humanitarian ceasefire which expired earlier this week in Yemen. Saudi-led airstrikes resumed on Tuesday in the capital Sanaa, as thousands attempted to flee the ongoing fighting. Houthi militias took over the capital earlier this year and forced out the president. Many Yemenis have fled the country via cargo ship and ended up in Africa. Others have fled to rural villages to try and escape the violence. Yemeni American Wafa Yafai tells us how her family members have been able to escape the violence. She’ll also discuss the growing humanitarian crisis inside Yemen. (Photo: AP/Abdulnasser Alseddik)
