A Syrian doctor's view from a hospital in Aleppo

Bashar-al-Assad was re-elected president of Syria this week in an election that took place despite the country’s ongoing civil war. The U.S. has condemned the election. In the meantime, the country’s humanitarian crisis has deepened. Dr. Zaher Sahloul, president of the Syrian American Medical Society, recently returned from Aleppo. He'll give us an update on conditions on the ground in Syria and tell us what he thinks needs to be done to end the civil war. (Photo: A building in Aleppo that was hit by a bomb.
