Aid Agency Warns Millions at Risk Of Famine In Yemen

Aid Agency Warns Millions at Risk Of Famine In Yemen

The war in Yemen has killed thousands and forced more than two million people from their homes. Now, the international aid agency Oxfam says that the ongoing conflict, “compounded by a looming banking crisis” could mean that millions of people are at risk of famine. 

Farms have been destroyed, a shortage of fuel and supplies has led to a decrease in food production and “exorbitant” food prices, the agency reports. We talk about the situation in Yemen with Scott Paul, senior humanitarian policy advisor at Oxfam America.
