Black Comic Books: Felicia D. Henderson

Last month, Worldview presented the groundbreaking radio series, BEYOND BLACK PANTHER, featuring conversations with Black and Latinx comic book writers on how they view the world, their art, and their industry. As a series extra, we offer this new conversation with industry giant and trailblazer, Felicia D. Henderson. A screenwriter, television producer, music video director, and comic writer, she wrote the DC Comics series Teen Titans. Henderson also wrote and produced for several popular TV series, including Gossip Girl, Family Matters, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Moesha, Everybody Hates Chris and Marvel’s The Punisher on Netflix.

After the commercial success of Black Panther, a new generation of black people is seeking authentic representation.
