Brazil’s build-up to this summer’s soccer World Cup has hit numerous snags. Construction delays have led to threats of cancellations from FIFA, the soccer world’s governing body. And human rights observers are keeping a close eye on evictions of people from poorer areas. We’ll talk with Worldview Soccer Contributor, Euan Hague. He’s just back from Brazil. While down there, Euan took a good look at Brazil’s progress. Euan also serves at DePaul University as chair of Geography and co-director of DePaul’s new graduate M.A. in Sustainable Urban Development.
