Young, poor, urban Brazilians connect on Facebook and then gather at luxury malls. At times the crowds have become so large, malls have been forced to close. Marcelo Jarmendia, a Brazilian here in Chicago, was invited to join in. He tells us more. Also, peace talks between Syria’s regime and opposition are set to begin in Geneva. We’ll talk with Joshua Landis, director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oklahoma, about the prospects for a cease-fire or even a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
