As populist movements sweep through Europe and the U.S., many view Canada as an ‘outlier’- a country where immigrants are welcome, diversity is celebrated, and climate change is taken seriously.
But Canadian journalist and media critic Jesse Brown tells Worldview that because of their reputation, Canadians have a “smug sense of superiority, which has only worsened since President Trump’s election.

We talk with Brown about the darker side of Canada and his upcoming book, The Canadaland Guide to Canada.
