CEO Of Divvy Parent Company On The Bike Share Revolution
As sustainability takes root in cities around the world, bike-share programs are growing by thousands of riders every year. Chicago’s bike share program (Divvy) recorded almost 350,000 trips in May 2017. New York’s bike share (Citi Bike) reports 1.5 million rides in the same month and 40 percent growth from last year.
We talk about how programs like Chicago’s Divvy helped created a renaissance in urban planning with Jay Walder, president and CEO at Motivate, the parent company of Divvy and Citi Bike.
Walder will address numerous sustainability and urban planning issues at the Chicago Forum on Global Cities, hosted by the Chicago Council on Global affairs and the Financial Times, from June 7-9, 2017.
