Marcus de la Fleur is not new to ambitiously scaled environmentally conscious projects. In 2008, he re- engineered a home at 168 Elm St. in Elmhurst to increase the efficiency of the building’s water system. Now, he’s at it again. Joined by his wife Cathy Haibach, Marcus is rehabbing a 110 year old two-flat in Chicago working toward a zero-sum energy home with a “deep energy retrofit”. Marcus and Cathy will join us to talk about their work on the house, and their hopes to show fellow homeowners that green upgrades are within their reach. (Photo: Courtesy of Marcus de la Fleur)
