Chicago South Side Gardener Growing food for Woodlawn Community
WBEZ this week is taking part in a global initiative to focus on Climate Change issues. It’s called ‘Covering Climate Now’. And one way to reduce your carbon footprint is to grow food locally. So Worldview Contributor, Monica Eng, talked to a gardener who grows food for the Woodlawn community on Chicago's South Side. The food goes to a local grade school, senior home and housing project. And he grows it all without pesticides. His name is Brendon Fox and when he’s not tending the garden he runs his organic landscaping business called Happy Bee Garden Service and more.
