China announces big reforms, including changes to its one-child policy
China has announced it will relax its one-child policy and abolish its labor camps. Until now, with few exceptions, families were allowed to have just one child, and there has been a shortage of labor and women in many parts of the country. Wenguang Huang, author of The Little Red Guard and co-author of A Death in the Lucky Holiday Hotel, tells us what the policy changes could mean for the country.
