Pressure from the Syria crisis is causing at least one U.S. ally to lash out. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Washington has created a “sea of blood” in Syria, because it refuses to brand Kurdish fighters in Syria as terrorists. Erdogan went on to say, “Hey America! How many times have we had to tell you? Are you…with us or are you with the…terror groups?” He’s also reportedly threatened to “drown Europe in refugees” if his financial terms to take in refugees aren’t met. He publishes the blog ‘Informed Comment’ and his most recent book is ‘The New Arabs: How the Millennial Generation is Changing the Middle East’.
