Ukraine’s Crimea region is scheduled to hold a referendum on 3/16/14 to decide whether it will remain a part of the Ukraine or join Russia. Russian troops remain in the region. Ukraine’s interim Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, is due to travel to the U.S. later this week for talks with President Obama. We’ll discuss the ongoing crisis with Jeffrey Mankoff, senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
