The documentary Spilled Water explores how “the economic transformation of China is changing the roles, rights, and social status of its women.” Chicago filmmaker May May Tchao returned to her native China to make the film, which tells the stories of four Chinese women- a teacher, a Beijing-based lawyer, a singer and an electronic mechanic.
