Egypt approves new constitution

The citizens of Egypt voted last week to approve a new constitution to replace the 2012 version drafted under former President Mohammed Morsi. Some have criticized the document for being too pro-military. University of Chicago Law school professor and comparative constitutional expert Tom Ginsburg recently returned from Egypt. While he was there he met with a group of constitutional lawyers who were in the process of evaluating the constitution which was just approved. He’ll join us to discuss their findings.
