The UK-based investment charity, ShareAction, is leading a movement to encourage investors and stockholders to pressure global corporations to adhere to their stated progressive climate change policies. Part of its strategy is asking investors to reconsider their relationships with lobbying groups and trade associations that work against EU climate policy. These investors have petitioned European multinational companies, along with American global brands such as BP and Proctor and Gamble. We’ll speak with Catherine Howarth, Chief Executive of ShareAction. She’ll tell us about her group’s recent successes and what they’ve learned from similar movements in the U.S.
