The Supreme Price is a film about Nigeria’s pro-democracy movement and follows in particular activist Hafsat Abiola. She was part of one of Nigeria’s most powerful political families, when tragedy struck. Abiola overcame great personal loss to fight for transparency in government and women’s rights. We’ll speak with the film’s director, Joanna Lipper and with Corinne Dufka, West African researcher for Human Rights Watch. Dufka received a MacArthur Genius grant in 2003 for her work in Sierra Leone.
