First NBA player of Indian descent

Born to immigrant parents in Canada, Sim Bhullar has become the first player of Indian descent to be signed to an NBA contract. Despite measuring 7’5”, he’s not yet made an impact on the court. However, Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive, an Indian businessman, sees this opportunity to make history as a positive to an otherwise gloomy season.
