India’s school drop-out rate is very high, according to many statistics. These children and their families, marginalized by society and culture, include people from the tribal, lower social strata in the hill regions of India. Bhuvana Foundation was created “to provide three nutritious meals, timely and regular primary care and a well rounded education” for children in India, especially in Tamil Nadu State. We’ll speak with neurologist Subramaniam Sriram, founder and president of Bhuvana Foundation and Mridu Sekhar, a Bhuvana trustee.
