When Kathy Tate-Bradish heard about Vumilia, an organization that supports women and children affected by HIV and AIDS in western Kenya, she felt an urge to get involved. For nearly a decade Tate-Bradish has been working with Rose Ayuma, Kenyan founder of the organization, to expand a peer-run sex education program. She’s also collaborating with Ember Kenya and African Childrens Haven, and hopes to ramp up their sex education initiatives. Tate-Bradish, just back from another trip to Kenya, updates us on the work that she has been doing. (Photo courtesy of Kathy Tate-Bradish).
