Natasha Casanova, CEO & founder of Kathmandu Yogi, works with female artisans in Nepal to create ethically made yoga and meditation accessories.
Last year, Casanova together with the local Nepali-American and Yoga communities in Chicago, raised over $40,000 in disaster relief funds after two major earthquakes devastated Nepal, killing thousands of people and leaving millions injured and/or displaced.
For our Global Activism segment, we ask Casanova about her crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to provide sustainable employment for 100 female Nepali artisans.
