Global Activist, Wendy Sternberg, is founder and executive director of Genesis at the Crossroads (GATC). The group focuses on interreligious and multiethnic bridge-building through “music and peacebuilding; human rights; peace journalism; and environmental sustainability.” The Genesis Summer Institute, a program of  GATC, is a curriculum designed to nurture future global leaders who will work on peace-building. The course unites international students and diverse U.S.  students for cross-cultural experiences. For our Global Activism segment, Sternberg returns with some of her students to talk about this year’s program, including how GATC is expanding its mission to providing educational opportunities for Chicago-area kids.
