Two musical acts are making a big splash during the annual Brasil Summerfest in New York’s Central Park.
They’re both black Brazilians, and are bringing their brand of Afro-Latino music into the mainstream. Catalina Maria Johnson, host of Beat Latino on Vocalo, was at the Brasil Summerfest. She introduces us to a new band, Liniker e os Caramelows, and legendary Samba singer Elza Soares.
