The world of movies about music will descend on Chicago this week in the form of the Chicago International Movies & Music Festival, known as CIMMfest.
Going on eight years, the festival brings documentaries, feature films and shorts about everything from punk rock and Haitian opera to outlaw country music and Polish mermaids.
This week on Global Notes, Radio M host Tony Sarabia joins us to preview the five-day festival.
