On this week’s Global Notes segment, Vocalo’s Beat Latino host and producer Catalina Maria Johnson will discuss how musicians are keeping endangered indigenous languages alive. Artists are working to preserve Garifuna, Wolastoqey, Ladino and other endangered languages through a range of music genres. We’ll listen to songs by artists from around the world — Aurelio Martinez, Dutcher, Doctor Nativo and Sarah Aroeste — all of whom are working hard to preserve their cultures.
