The University of Chicago’s Middle East Music Ensemble is a 45 piece orchestra that is dedicated to the study and performance of Middle Eastern music. We get a preview with santur player Jalal Rais Dana. Nari Safavi, one of the founders of Pasfarda Arts and Cultural Exchange also joins us to talk about the music and its origins.
