The Italian television series Gomorra recently wrapped up its first season. Shooting on season two is set to begin soon. Gomorra has been the most watched series on pay tv in Italy. It’s based on the book Gomorrah by Roberto Saviano and it focuses on the Camorra mafia clan which operated in and around Naples. The series has been lauded by many for its realistic treatment of life under the mafia. It’s been sold to 120 territories around the world, including the U.S. But it’s not been without controversy. Paola Jacobbi, the entertainment editor of Vanity Fair Italy joins us to talk about the impact of Gomorrah.
