Hindu nationalist Narendra Modi to be next prime minister of India

India's general election has been won by the Hindu nationalist Party (BJP), led by the controversial Narendra Modi. Votes counted so far suggest the party is on course for the most resounding victory by any party for decades. The BJP trounced India's historic Congress party. We’ll get a debrief on what this may mean for India and the region from Sumit Ganguly, Rabindranath Tagore Chair in Indian Cultures and Civilizations and director of the Center on American and Global Security at Indiana University-Bloomington. Ganguly also currently serves as Visiting Buffett Professor at Northwestern University. (Photo: AP/Ajit Solanki)
